Back by Popular Demand: Hearnshaw's "Ifs of History" -- Now with the Table of Contents

A CHR reader asked me the other day if I could post the Table of Contents of F. J. C. Hearnshaw's Ifs of History.  

I'm happy to oblige (see below).  The essays are all on the short side, but cover a wide range of topics. The whole book is 167 pages long.

Very interesting, thank you! Would be interesting to see how Hearnshaw covers an earlier fall of Byzantium as I recently read Turtledove's "Islands in the Sea". Which of these interest you the most, Dr. Rosenfeld?
