The Counterfactual History Review surveys the world of historical speculation, collecting and commenting upon examples of counterfactual reasoning that have appeared in recent books, journal articles, reviews, and online texts. It features occasional reviews of alternate history novels and films, as well as links to news stories that reflect the growing impact of speculative historical thinking on popular culture.

Gavriel Rosenfeld: Gavriel D. Rosenfeld is Professor of History at Fairfield University and President of the Center for Jewish History in New York City. He received his B.A. in History and Judaic Studies from Brown University in 1989 and his Ph.D. in History from UCLA in 1996. His areas of specialization include the history of Nazi Germany and the Holocaust, memory studies, and counterfactual history. He is the author of numerous books, including the co-edited volume (with Janet Ward). Fascism in America: Past and Present (Cambridge University Press, 2023).
